An in studio sewing course which is designed for sewists of all abilities. A regular sewing class where you can progress through projects with the help of our sewing teacher.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to challenge themselves with the next pattern whether you are a next stage beginner or the more advanced, choose a pattern to suit your skill level (we can assist with this) and let us guide you through.
The lesson is a free-style lesson with everyone making something diffferent, these are some of the things you may cover in the lesson but it will depend on the pattern you have chosen.
What you will learn:
Pattern details, tracing techniques, markings and sizing
The perfect fit, taking guidance from the tutor to advise on fit and pattern adjusting for fit.
Zips - inserting invisible and exposed zips
Darts, tucks, pleats, gathers
Buttonholes
These are just a representation of what you may cover in the class but it will depend on your pattern.
What you will need:
Sewing machine (we have limited sewing machines so if you need to borrow one please advise at booking stage)
Sewing kit
Your chosen pattern and all that is needed for this. Please discuss this with us when booking this course. We like to be prepared so an idea of what pattern you are doing before the first workshop would be great
