Me Made May day 3
Today I have half a day in the kitchen so I always pop on a nice casual top with a pair of jeans. The jeans I’m afraid haven’t been tackled yet so these are I’m sorry to say are shop bought.
The top is one of my favourite patterns as a go to top. It’s the Esme tunic from the Lotta Jansdotter book and this is the top version. It is a simple sew with a couple of bust darts, front, back and facings so a nice a quick project. The only little struggle I have is the arm holes where they say to “scant 1/8” “ and that is pretty difficult with the curve in the arm hole, I managed it but it probably could be tidier. I love the little cap sleeve on this top, just a little bit over the top of your shoulder and enough to still get a nice tan on your arms.
The top is made in a lovely Atelier Brunette 100% cotton and is a joy to sew with, I love the little origami bird print so much and comes in several different colours, my favourite being the black but that’s just me.
I have made this top in several different fabrics and I will continue to do so with lots of different yummy fabrics. I’m sure you’ll see them all this month
