Me Made May Day 17

The Zadie Jumpsuit

I have a confession!

This, I actually made on day 4 but I wanted to save it, to share with you until later in the month.

I am wearing it today though, you can see me in the shop below and above in Falmouth when I visited earlier this month.

 the Zadie

I LOVE it, I love this version.

It is another Zadie Dress by Paper Theory patterns, this time in a denim slub.

I was heading down to Falmouth for a night with the other half and wanted a more casual everyday but cool looking jumpsuit compared to the black and white snazzy one I had made. I got it in my head that I Needed it, so that was it I made it up in one day!

Again a relatively easy sew, nothing too stressful, the bias binding at the bottom can be a bit fiddly but apart from that I love it.

 the back of the Zadie

The weight of the fabric is just what I wanted, stable enough and comfy but not too stiff, Perfect.

I think the only issue now is tie at the front or back? I just cannot decide.

So all in all another great sew and my last for Me Made May apart from my slow sew.

I have actually now decided after half the month has gone what I will be slow sewing, I have been trying to find the perfect waterproof jacket pattern and I think I have found it.

The Glide jacket by Made It Patterns.

Glide Jacket pattern

I am so excited by this pattern with the sharp lines, the option of a hood and the fact I can use gorgeous Merchant and Mills oil skin again.

I have chosen the fabric, but it is out of stock which is already slowing me down, but means I am going to test out the Swedish tracing paper and make a sewable toile.

I think it is needed with this pattern to make sure I get the right fit across my back and arms which I use the final chosen fabric.

I think the pattern isn't necessarily made for a waterproof more of a lightweight jacket but I want to give it a go.

I have chosen my lining fabric too, which you can see here, the fabulous Cobra Corsage cotton Lawn by Lady McElroy.

I will keep up dated with this one, when I get the fabric anyhow the toile comes up in the Swedish tracing paper.

See you soon, I hope your all enjoying your MMMay.
